New iPhone emojis are arriving with iOS 26.4, expanding how users express themselves in WhatsApp and other apps.

With the developer beta 4 of iOS 26.4, Apple adds symbols recently approved by the Unicode Consortium, broadening the set of emojis across major platforms.
Among the new designs are a ballet dancer, a distorted face, a fluffy creature, and more such as a landslide, an orca, a trombone and a treasure chest, expanding cross-platform compatibility for iOS, Android, Windows and other systems.
These new emojis will be available not only on iOS but across platforms, ensuring universal support and easier digital communication across devices and messaging services. Apple Intelligence Genmoji tools allow users to craft personalized emojis from descriptions or combinations, but Unicode emojis remain essential for universal compatibility.
Unicode 18 updates are guiding the evolution toward future releases like iOS 27 and beyond, as platforms coordinate with Unicode standards to deliver new symbols to users.
